Antiquarian Books

Collecting
Once you begin collecting old or rare books, one thing leads to another - the subject- the author - the binder - the printer - the illustrator - perhaps the bookplate on the endpaper.
Coincidences abound, once you delve deeper, and you find strange connections. Always buy the best condition you can afford, and look out for unique association copies with interesting inscriptions and signatures.
The research is fascinating, and the journey full of surprises. Not to mention the people you meet along the way, who lead you onto new paths of discovery. Take a look at our "Collecting Themes" page for ideas and inspiration.
