Paul Haynes has been an antiquarian bookseller since 1978, running the Travel and Topography Department at the Hay Cinema Bookshop for Richard Booth, then from 1985, director of Francis Edwards Antiquarian Booksellers. Based in Hay on Wye, he travels worldwide to buy and sell rare and old books. As a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association, the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers and the Provincial Booksellers and Fairs Association he upholds the highest professional standards in the book trade.
Val Haynes began bookselling in Manchester in 1971, then a researcher at Manchester Central Library and the College of Librarianship Wales, moving to Hay on Wye in 1978 to establish The Limited Bookshop on Lion Street for Richard Booth, running the Natural History, Science, Medicine and Literature Departments at the Hay Cinema Bookshop, now cataloguer and researcher for Paul Haynes Rare Books.
