Paul Haynes has been an antiquarian bookseller since 1978. Initially managing the Travel Department at the Hay Cinema Bookshop for Richard Booth, then Francis Edwards. Based in Hay on Wye, he travels worldwide to buy and sell rare and old books. As a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association and ILAB he upholds the highest professional standards in the book trade.
Val Haynes began bookselling as a BA Trainee Bookseller in Manchester in 1971, then a researcher at ZTech Manchester Central Library, and College of Librarianship Wales, moving to Hay on Wye in 1978 to open The Limited Bookshop for Richard Booth, meeting Paul, and on to The Hay Cinema Bookshop in 1982, managing the Natural History, Science and Literature Departments. A couple of years as a Medical Library Research assistant, and now cataloguer and researcher for Paul Haynes Rare Books.
